The cars, already popular with celebrities including George Clooney and Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, will be available in showrooms in Menlo Park and Los Angeles. The Menlo Park showroom will occupy a former Chevrolet dealership on El Camino Real. There's a metaphor there somewhere.

on the drive to work this morning I was listening to a radio piece about the Tesla roadster,  one sexy beast of a car. 0-60 mph in 4 seconds and costs 1-2 cents per mile to operate.  

did I mention it has no gas tank or tailpipe? the Tesla is a 100% electric car.
